July 10 in the Russian rental comes a musical romantic comedy about an incredible time travel – “Plagiator”. The film was produced by Mars Media and Arna Media. The release will be held in partnership with the TV channel “Russia 1”.

The director was Anton Megerdichev (“Heart of Parma”, “Movement Up”), producers – Ruben Dishdishyan, Julia Ivanova, Aram Movsesyan, Yasmina Ben Ammar. The distributor of the film is “Atmosphere of Cinema”.

In the story, Yegor is 30 years old, his job is to sing along to guests in karaoke, but he dreams of writing his song, becoming famous and building a happy life with Julia, against the wishes of her oligarch father. One day Egor finds a portal in his closet in 1991, and he has a brilliant plan that will provide him with an ideal future! But every attempt to change something in the past leads to more and more unexpected results in the future, and you have to make difficult choices.

I have a small number of films, but they are all in different genres. “Plagiator” is not only my first comedy, but also my first musical romantic comedy, and I’m very excited about it. Our film is about a young talented, but not too lucky musician who got the opportunity to travel to the past and change the present. In our history, we want to say: cherish the past and the present, and change your life here and now. We hope to make a film that unites different generations.

Plagiarist is a comedy with a huge number of numbers dedicated to our popular music of the last thirty years.

I play Egor, the main character, who in Moscow in the evening works part-time in karaoke clubs, and during the day dreams of another life, writes his music and is in love with a girl whose father is categorically not happy with the choice of his daughter. One beautiful morning, Egor goes back in the 90s and decides to use his talent and knowledge to change his present. He sings all the hits we’ve had in 30 years, passing them off as his songs. This movie asks what is “successful success” and what is more important - fame and wealth or family and a favorite business.

In preparation for the filming, I decided with director Anton Megerdichev and my partner Roman Evdokimov that our film is a romantic comedy about the healthy love of two millennials. It’s also great to work with your friends! Roma and I have known and been friends for a very long time, this is not our first joint project, so it was easy and comfortable to shoot. I am sure that “Plagiator” will appeal to all the viewers who are searching, believing and going to their dream.
